New Year’s Eve at LA Live Steamers

A cool time on the last Sunday Run Day of 2023.

Gingerbread Man watches a trainload of families ride by on New Year’s Eve 2023.

Sunday, December 31, 2023 brought chilly temperatures with overcast skies after a night of rain. The pavement and tracks were dry and our gates opened at our regular time of 11 am. We spontaneously decided to offer train rides for free, which was a nice surprise for the many families that came to see us. Our special guest was Gingerbread Man, who handed out candy canes to the children.

In the afternoon Mr. Nutcracker took over candy cane duty.

Trains ran all day until 3 pm.

A fun day was had by all, including our volunteer members. LA Live Steamers wishes all our friends a very happy and healthy New Year!

Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum offers train rides to the public every Sunday, weather permitting. Our gates are open from 11 am to 3 pm. Suggested donation is $4.00 a rider; riders must be at least 34″ tall. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Parking is free. Please visit us on Facebook for our latest updates: facebook.com/LALSRM.
